The largest and most intense quality test ever conducted in the area of Alpine tourism took place in 2006. Some 108 holiday-makers and 22 professional testers sounded out hotels and regions for their mountain bike qualities.

The criteria assessed included food and drink, service, bike atmosphere, tour descriptions, trail networks and other factors necessary for a perfect mountain bike holiday.
