Tours

The region offers a large number of tours to choose from. Our guides will show you secret trails or give you an insider’s tip for a tour off the beaten path.

Tour Legend

  • Easy: < 500 total elevation gain, < 20 kilometres
  • Medium: < 1000 total elevation gain, < 40 kilometres
  • Difficult: <1500 total elevation gain, < 60 kilometres
  • Very difficult: > 1500 total elevation gain, > 60 kilometres

Tours

RUND UM DEN THANELLER / AROUND THANELLER PEAK

  • Level of difficulty: medium
  • Total elevation gain: 500 m
  • Distance: 27 km
  • Time: 2–2.5 hours

Follow the bike path to Berwang then continue on the street to Rinnen. Pass through Rinnen over a steep asphalt road down to the first turn.
From there, take the fire trail to Rotlech reservoir and on to Rieden. At the fountain in the centre of town, take the uphill into Klausenwald towards Heiterwang. Follow either the bike trail or the panorama trail back to Bichlbach. You can download the trail map here!

UM DEN DANIEL / AROUND DANIEL PEAK

  • Level of difficulty: medium / difficult
  • Total elevation gain: 380 m
  • Distance: 46 km
  • Time: 3–3.5 hours.

Follow the bike path or panorama trail to Ehrwald and the viaduct. The bike path towards Garmisch takes you to the bridge by Griesen before fire trails and the street on the right-hand shore of Plansee Lake take you to Seespitze. The breathtaking finale is the ride along the panorama trail back to Lähn-Wengle. You can download the trail map here!

WANNING

  • Level of difficulty: difficult
  • Total elevation gain: 1,400 m
  • Distance: 40 km
  • Time: 4–4.5 hours

Take the fire trail to Weissensee Lake, follow the left-hand shore past the Römerweg (Roman Trail) to Fernpass, turn right, cross the street and, following the Römerweg, head down towards Fernstein Castle. After the campground, take the trail on the right side of the valley over St. Wendelin to Nassereith, Rossbach and Aschland. Just after Aschland, turn left onto the fire trail to Marienbergalm and the highest point, Marienbergjoch. Beautiful, in part steep downhill over Marienberg-Gipfelhaus to Biberwier. TEGESTAL / TEGES VALLEY

  • Level of difficulty: difficult / very difficult
  • Total elevation gain: 1,200 m
  • Distance: 40 km
  • Time: 4–4.5 hours


Extremely steep ascent into Teges Valley requiring top condition even in low gear. Long ascent along relatively good fire trail to Dirstentrittkreuz (small trials sections, two short stretches where you have to get off and push). Descent to Sinnesbrunn with lots of different trials. You can download the trail map here!
